Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using QABot, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

2. Description of Service

QABot is a collaborative testing platform that allows teams to create, manage, and run automated UI tests for web applications. Our service includes:

  • Team-based project management with role-based access control
  • Automated UI test creation and execution
  • Scheduled test runs via cron-based automation
  • Test history tracking and result analysis
  • Multi-user collaboration within teams

3. User Accounts and Authentication

To use QABot, you must authenticate using a Google account via Google OAuth. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the security of your Google account
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
  • Ensuring your account information is accurate and up-to-date

4. Subscription Plans and Billing

QABot offers multiple subscription tiers with different features and limits:

  • Free Plan: 1 project, 1 team, 10 test cases, unlimited test runs
  • Basic Plan ($19.99/month): Unlimited projects, 1 team, unlimited test cases, unlimited test runs
  • Pro Plan ($99.99/month): Unlimited projects, unlimited teams, unlimited test cases, unlimited test runs
  • Enterprise Plan: Custom pricing with advanced features

Billing is processed through LemonSqueezy, our payment provider. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to pay all fees and charges according to your selected plan. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.

5. Team Management and Access Control

Teams have two role types with different permissions:

  • Admin: Full access to manage projects, test cases, team members, and team settings
  • Member: Can view and execute tests, create test cases, but cannot manage team settings

Team admins are responsible for managing team membership and ensuring appropriate access levels for team members.

6. Acceptable Use

You may not use QABot for any unlawful purposes or to solicit others to perform unlawful acts. You agree not to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Test websites or applications without proper authorization
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or other users' accounts
  • Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
  • Use the service to perform load testing or denial-of-service attacks
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code from our service
  • Resell or redistribute the service without authorization

7. Content and Data

You retain ownership of all test cases, project data, and content you create using QABot. By using our service, you grant us permission to:

  • Store and process your data to provide the service
  • Execute automated tests on URLs you specify
  • Send scheduled test execution notifications

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to test any websites or applications you configure in QABot.

8. Data and Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

9. Service Availability and Performance

We strive to maintain high availability of our service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may:

  • Perform scheduled or emergency maintenance
  • Temporarily suspend the service for upgrades or repairs
  • Limit access during periods of high demand

Test execution performance may vary based on external factors including target website availability and response times.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or engage in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity. Upon termination:

  • Your access to the service will be immediately revoked
  • You will no longer be charged for subscription fees
  • Your data may be retained according to our Privacy Policy and legal obligations

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, QABot and its operators shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill
  • Service interruptions or errors in test execution
  • Damages resulting from unauthorized access to your account
  • Any damages exceeding the amount you paid us in the past 12 months

QABot is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless QABot and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the service
  • Your violation of these terms
  • Your violation of any rights of another party
  • Testing websites or applications without proper authorization

13. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a prominent notice on our service. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

14. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the service shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of appropriate jurisdiction.
